Atlanta — The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Georgia awarded Greenline Architecture the 2012 Georgia Architecture Firm Award during its Design and Honor Awards Presentation in Atlanta on Dec. 1.
The award recognizes a firm for consistently producing quality design, contributing to the community in which it practices, engaging in AIA activities and leadership and mentoring the next generation of architects.
Monica Mastrianni and Bob Poticny accepted the award on the firm’s behalf.
“It is truly an honor to have been selected as the 2012 Georgia Architecture Firm of the Year,” said Mastrianni, Greenline’s president. “I would like to congratulate all members of the firm, and give many thanks for their individual and corporate commitment to great design and active community membership.”
Greenline was recognized for its “… commitment to sustainability in all aspects of its corporate culture — from building design to office operations to the grooming of future owners, and its “… dedication to solving design problems well, with sensitivity to aesthetic, functionality, sustainability and human needs.”
In addition, Greenline was praised for “… fostering a culture of leadership and community service as evidenced in its involvement in the AIA Savannah Chapter and various community and historic boards.”
Greenline was selected for the award by a jury comprised of AIA Georgia’s Honor Awards Selection Committee and is only the second Savannah-based firm to have won the award since its inception.
