Roll the dice to benefit autism center

The Richmond Hill City Center will again be the site on April 19 for the third annual Casino for a Cause held to benefit the Matthew Reardon Center for Autism.

Each guest will receive “funny money” to play blackjack, poker, craps, roulette and then enter a grand prize raffle at the end of the night with their winnings.

The evening will include heavy hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, a silent auction raffle and music by Ray Williams of WRHQ 105.3.

Tickets are $75 apiece or $125 per couple and must be purchased in advance at www.matthewreardon.org or by calling the center at 912-355-9098.

Bastille Metal Works to open office in France

Savannah-based Bastille Metal Works has announced it will open an office in Lyon, France, to meet increasing demand from Western and Eastern Europe and the Middle East for its line of pewter and zinc furnishings.

The local firm will work with veteran international business executive Eric Guichaoua-arzel, who is the principal of Solymac, a French factory that designs and creates range hoods for restaurants, hotels and kitchens.

Guichaoua-arzel also has been an account executive for Leroy Somer, an industrial automation company.

Guichaoua-arzel will represent the company throughout Europe and the Middle East.

Leadership Savannah graduates head to sheriff’s office

The April Leadership Savannah Graduate Program will be hosted by the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department on April 9. Attendees will learn about the legacy of the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department and about the ongoing Chatham County Detention Center Expansion Project.

The program will run from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Department, 1050 Carl Griffin Drive.

Pace showroom wins national nomination

Pace Lighting has been selected as a finalist for the fourth annual 2013 National Showroom of the Year awards presented by Residential Lighting magazine and the Dallas Market Center.

Pace has been nominated for four years in a row and was a two-time winner. This year’s winner will be announced in Dallas on June 20.

A profile of Pace Lighting will appear in the May 2013 issue of Residential Lighting magazine. Pace Lighting received the national Showroom of the Year Award in the annual revenue under $2 million category in 2012 and 2010 and was a finalist in 2011. In 2013, Pace Lighting is a finalist in the $2 million-$5 million annual revenue category, an increase on all prior years.
