New Chick-fil-A to open next week

The Savannah area’s sixth free-standing Chick-fil-A restaurant will open April 25 at 2111 E. Victory Drive with 70 employees, indoor seating for 106 and an additional 20 seats outside.

The first 100 adults, ages 18 and older with identification, who in line when the doors open about 6 a.m. will win a one-year supply of free Chick-fil-A meals — 52 coupons with each consisting of a Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich, medium waffle potato fries and a medium drink.

The line opens at 6 a.m. April 24 and the free meal cards will be awarded after 6 a.m. the next day.

If more than 100 people are in line by 6 a.m. on April 24, all 100 spots will be determined by a raffle, and whoever’s selected will have to camp out to secure their spot.

A non-perishable food drive will be held at the new restaurant on April 24 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. to benefit America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia. Each donation of at least five food items will earn a coupon for a free Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich and chicken biscuit.
