New pizza outlet to open Saturday
Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint will hold a grand opening for its new restaurant at 7805 Abercorn St. 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, with free 9-inch, three-topping pizzas for all guests.
Uncle Maddio’s opened its first build-your-own-pizza outlet four years ago in Atlanta and will have 20 locations open in the Southeast this summer.
The menu contains three types of crusts (white, wheat, and gluten-free), six sauces, seven cheeses (including Daiya vegan cheese), and 47 fresh toppings. The restaurant also serves hot, toasted paninis and made-to-order salads.
“Locals will now have a new choice for dining — gourmet-style pizza with fresh ingredients in just six minutes. By the time you pay and get your drink, your pizza is on its way to your table,” said Uncle Maddio’s founder and chief pizza maker Matt Andrew.
