CHAP BENNETT
New job title: Executive vice president of commercial real estate and specialty lending

Duties: Bennett will lead the bank’s mortgage company and construction lending department in addition to its structured finance services.
Related work experience: Bennett has been with the bank for more than 12 years and most recently served as the manager of special assets. He also served as the bank’s senior credit officer.

DAVE MANDEL

Savannah woman appointed to leadership position
Emmy Williams, director of education with the Savannah Children’s Choir, has been appointed as the Children’s Choir Repertoire & Standards committee chair for the Southern Division. As chair for the Southern Division, she will serve with 13 other regional Repertoire and Standards Committee chairs who provide support, vision and resources for every major area of choral work.

The Georgia Historical Society held its 174th annual Meeting at Congregation Mickve Israel in Savannah on May 2. Ellen Bolch, Paul Bowers, Sonny Deriso, Leah Ward Sears and Neely Young were elected as new members of the board of curators.
