Leadership Savannah class open to applicants
Applications for the 2013–14 Leadership Savannah class are being accepted with a deadline of June 14.
The class will be limited to 42 people, and applicants must have the full support of their organization or the corporation they represent.
The programs are expected to consist of monthly interactive sessions led by community experts within their fields. Sessions are expected to begin in September and conclude in June 2014.
Applicants will be expected to attend all of the sessions to graduate. All applicants must go through the selections process, and full program fees will be $2,500, with a limited number of $1,000 scholarships available based on need.

Bastille Metal Works to showcase at 2013 NeoCon.
NeoCon is North America’s largest design exposition and conference for commercial interiors, and curator Grace Jeffers has invited Savannah’s Bastille Metal Works to exhibit this year.
Bastille Metal Works crafted two samples, one of cast pewter and the other of zinc, for this year’s show. Bastille’s lead designer, Jason Wech, will be on-site to answer questions.

Actress/author to headline ‘SmartWomen’
Marilu Henner, who has appeared in several hit TV series, films, commercials, television movies, specials and live stage productions, will be the featured speaker at this year’s SmartWomen Luncheon & Expo.
The event is an annual fundraiser for St. Joseph’s/Candler’s Mary Telfair Women’s Hospital, which includes the Mammography Fund at Telfair Pavilion.
This year’s luncheon will be held Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center. The expo will start at 10 a.m. with lunch at noon and the speaker at 12:30 p.m.
