Savannah Belle to open on Bay Street

BOSAV, LLC, which operates two stores in downtown Savannah, has announced the opening of a third store, Savannah Belle, at 206 E. Bay Street.

The new store joins Matter of Factors and Savannah Rose, and will open on July 20 with ceremonies from 9-11:30 a.m. The stores are owned and operated by Lisa and Curt Bolak.

Savannah Belle will feature ladies’ apparel, painted leather shoes and other items with work by local artists decorating the walls. An upstairs ‘man cave’ will be provided for men to relax while women shop.

All three stores will donate a percentage of their proceeds to the Savannah Humane Society on July 20.

Gretsch Co. congratulated in Congress

U.S. Rep. Jack Kingston, R-Savannah, congratulated the Savannah-based Gretsch Company on the floor of the House of Representatives for celebrating its 130th anniversary this year.

In Kingston’s remarks on June 25, he noted the history and achievements of Fred and Dinah Gretsch and their company.

“Because of Mr. Gretsch’s tireless dedication to his family business and the music industry, the Gretsch Company is celebrating a significant milestone that many small businesses never reach,” Kingston said.

Bicycle shop schedules celebration

John Skiljan, who owns Bicycle Link of Savannah, has scheduled a Tour de France party — “Vive Le Bicycle!” — on July 17 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of his business.

The event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the store at 210 W. Victory Drive. The French theme will be carried throughout with food and decorations, including a three-foot tall Eiffel Tower and a mock ‘Tour de France” race with a replay of actual event shown on a 40-inch TV screen.

Skiljan said an AMBUCS Amtryke will be presented to a Savannah child during the celebration. Kevin Sheehan, executive director of the AMBUCS-Savannah chapter will be on hand to make the presentation.

New sales, marketing company opens

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — Sharon Fisher, who has a background in sales and marketing, has launched a new business marketing company, Sharon Fisher & Associates, LLC.

Fisher’s background includes radio advertising account management and sales management for an online media company.
