Outlet mall donates $33,593 to cancer fight
The Tanger Outlet Center Hilton Head raised and is donating $33,593.88 for the battle against breast cancer. During this season of hope and giving, Tanger made its local donation to Beaufort Memorial Hospital’s Keyserling Cancer Center during a special ceremony Monday.
Tanger’s 2013 PinkStyle Campaign ran Sept. 12-Oct. 25 with funds being raised through the sale of the popular TangerStyle Pink Card. For a $5 donation to local Breast Cancer beneficiaries, Tanger customers received five special pink savings cards that provided 25% bonus savings at participating Tanger Outlet stores.
In addition to the sale of Pink Cards, Tanger raised money to fight breast cancer through the Candice for a Cure Concert in September to open the campaign. $16,000 was entirely raised through the sale of $20 tickets for the VIP Pink Partini, hosted with Pink Magazine, prior to the free concert featuring 2013 American Idol winner and Beaufort County native Candice Glover.
