Savannah Toastmasters announce Speechcraft course for women

The four-session Speechcraft course will meet each Tuesday morning in March to boost professional women’s skills for communicating effectively, planning and delivering speeches and presentations, and improving impromptu speaking. Experienced members of three Savannah area Toastmasters clubs will teach and mentor course participants. Speechcraft is designed by the renowned Toastmasters International organization, global leader in public speaking education.

Date: Every Tuesday in March

Time: 7:30-9:30 a.m.

Location: The Creative Coast, 15 West York St.

NAWIC Women in Construction Week

The Coastal Georgia Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) will celebrate Women in Construction (WIC) Week March 2-8. WIC Week events are as follows:

• DIRTT Environmental Solutions is hosting a facility tour and lunch for Chapter Members on March 3rd. Representatives from all companies will be on-hand to talk about sustainable construction.

• The annual WIC Week Social is on March 6 at 6 p.m. at Johnny Harris on Victory Drive. This event is open to members and guests. At the social, NAWIC will have its annual Gift Card Raffle Fundraiser. Raffle tickets are available for $10 each in advance or at the event.
