Nicolas Ogonosky, a senior illustration design major at the Savannah College of Art and Design from Scranton, Pa., has been named the winner of the inaugural AquaCurean gourmet seafood and spirits poster competition.
Ogonsky received a $250 prize for his design, which was chosen from among nearly 20 entries by a committee for the Savannah Harbor Foundation.
“I wanted to find a way to seamlessly incorporate all of the aspects of the event into a design that was fun yet still maintained a certain degree of elegance,” Ogonosky said.
The posters will be available for sale online at www.aquacurean.com the week of March 24. Advance discount tickets for events at the weekend festival are available now through March 31.
AquaCurean is a new seafood and cocktail celebration that will be held April 25-27 at the Westin Savannah Harbor to replace, at least in part, the Legends of Golf Champions Tour golf tournament that was discontinued after eleven years in Savannah.
