Savannah Tech picked for achieving the dream network

Savannah Technical College is one of 12 institutions selected this year into the Achieving the Dream National Reform Network, and school officials say they will immediately begin to identify and implement evidence-based strategies for closing achievement gaps and increasing student retention, persistence and completion rates.

“The college’s administration, faculty and staff firmly believe that all students are entitled to a quality educational experience that will enable them to achieve their desired outcomes,” said college president Kathy S. Love. “The college is focused on student success and continues to make strides in improving graduation, retention, and job placement outcomes.”

Savannah Technical College has improved its graduation rate over the past seven years. In academic year 2008, Savannah Tech’s graduation rate was 51.7 percent. In 2013, the most recently completed academic year, the graduation rate was 63.7 percent.
