New job title: Senior vice president

Company: Trinity Underwriting Managers Inc.

Duties: Standing will develop new programs and strengthen TUMI’s agent force.

Related work experience: Standing started his professional life in 1996 as an underwriter for Homestead Insurance Co. He later served as marketing manager for B&S Underwriters, as a managing partner for Delta Intermediaries and as senior vice president at Kirkway International Limited.

WILL GALLAGHER

New job title: Attorney

Company: Hunter-Maclean

Duties: Gallagher will work as an associate with the firm’s Corporate and Tax Practice Group, with a focus on estates and trusts.

Education: Gallagher earned a J.D. and an LL.M. in taxation from Villanova University School of Law in 2012. He also earned a B.B.A. in accounting in 2009 from Emory University.

MELINDA WILLIAMS

New job title: Assistant university registrar

Company: South University

Duties: Williams provides functional leadership and support to campus registrars across the university.

Related work experience: Williams has been the campus registrar at South University’s Columbia campus since 2008 and served as director of career services at the campus before that.

Education: Williams earned a master of education degree from the University of South Carolina and a bachelor’s degree from Columbia College.

Company: Hospice Savannah Inc.

Duties: Anderson will oversee all clinical services and clinical teams, education, occupational health and allied therapies.

Duties: Espina will serve as vice president of service excellence over the referral center, customer service, community outreach, marketing, volunteer services and bereavement.

Matthew Price, project manager at J.T. Turner Construction, recently received the Carol Daniel Carter Award, the 2012 Employee of the Year. This award is given each year to an individual who displays dedication, innovation and commitment to the company and their community.

Savannah attorneys honored

Bouhan Falligant LLP has announced several additions to the 2012 Georgia Trend Legal Elite List. Attorneys Glen M. Darbyshire, Andrew H. Dekle, J. Daniel Falligant, Leamon R. Holliday III, Kathleen Horne and Susannah Rogers Pedigo have been listed in the magazine’s annual list.

They join Todd M. Baiad, Carlton E. Joyce, Benjamin W. Karpf, John G. Lientz, John B. Manly, Melanie L. Marks and Gregory G. Sewell, who were also named Legal Elite by the magazine.

Museum honored

The Pin Point Heritage Museum received a Merit Design Award from the Georgia Association of The American Institute of Architects at its Annual Design Awards Reception in Atlanta on Dec. 1. The architect for the project was Lominack Kolman Smith Architects. The general contractor was Pier & Beam Construction. The project previously received a Preservation Award from Historic Savannah Foundation.

Georgia Chamber announces 2013 chair, board of governors

The Georgia Chamber of Commerce formally introduced Stephen S. Green as its 2013 Board Chair at the Chamber’s winter meeting held in Atlanta. Green, who serves as president and CEO of Morris Manning Martin & Green Consulting LLP, succeeds 2012 Chair Edward S. Heys Jr. of Deloitte.

The Chamber also announced its 2013 board of governors.

The Coastal Georgia Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) recently elected nine members to its board of directors:

Savannah man elected to board of directors

Robbie Jones, project manager at Pace Electrical Contractors in Savannah, has been elected to the board of directors of the Independent Electrical Contractors of Georgia. Jones was elected for a two-year term.

Organization recognizes young professionals

Tony Martin and Todd Martin of Martin Financial Group have been recognized by the Society of Financial Service Professionals as a top leader in FSP’s 40 and Under Program. The program recognizes members of the society age 40 and under based on community service, career history, business accomplishments and association involvement.
