COLUMBIA — A project listed as “Bluffton Self Storage” could be coming to town, specifically to the end of Oliver Court,according to state records. The applicants are Evans and Brandshaw LLC, which lists a Hilton Head post office box, and Jeff Ackerman PE/Carolina Engineering Consultants of Beaufort. Messages to both were not returned on Friday. They are seeking a Coastal Zone Consistency determination from the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control’s Ocean and Coastal Resource Management division.
The expected start date for the four-acre commercial project is Nov. 1, and it is slated for completion in March. An unnamed tributary to Sawmill Creek is 3,700 feet away, while Sawmill Creek itself is 10,200 feet away. The Colleton River is 14,500 feet from the site.
