
Hobby Lobby, a national retail chain of craft and home decor stores, held its grand opening with a ribbon cutting Monday morning at its first Savannah location.
Manager Brad James, Chatham County District 6 Commissioner Lori Brady and store employees welcomed customers to the new retail outlet at Southchase Shopping Center, 11140 Abercorn St.
“We feel blessed for the fantastic opportunity to be a part of this community. Our goal is for customers to experience the exceptional service, selection and value Hobby Lobby offers as we continue to expand nationwide,” said John Schumacher, assistant vice president of advertising, said earlier when announcing the grand opening.
Hobby Lobby Stores Inc., headquartered in Oklahoma City, Okla., has more than 600 stores nationwide and offers more than 70,000 crafting and home decor products in its stores.
Departments include floral, fabric, needle art, custom framing, baskets, home accents, wearable art, arts and crafts, jewelry making, scrapbooking and paper crafting supplies.
Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. All Hobby Lobby stores are closed on Sundays.
