Subject: Elderly Trust and Medicaid Planning Background: Williamson’s estate planning practice focuses mainly on helping clients protect their assets from creditor claims and minimizing federal estate tax liability. Through his knowledge of the federal and state Medicaid rules and his skill at drafting trusts and other types of sophisticated agreements, he is able to help clients qualify for Medicaid benefits while also preserving their children’s inheritance.

Cost: Free lunch is provided as a NAIFA member benefit.

 

SBDC StartSmart Program

Subject: The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center (SBDC) invites small business owners of young companies and entrepreneurs who are in the planning stages of their business to participate in our upcoming SBDC StartSmart Program.

2015 Essentials of Fraud and Forensic Accounting

Date: Aug. 3-7

Location: Campus of Georgia Southern at the College of Business Administration in Statesboro

Speaker: The five-day seminar will be taught by faculty members who have been assigned for years to the Fraud Examination and Forensic Accounting programs at Georgia Southern University.

Subject: The School of Accountancy at Georgia Southern University will host a one-week seminar, 2015, for individuals wishing to explore Fraud Examination and Forensic Accounting. The seminar is open to potential graduate students interested in pursuing a Master of Accounting with a concentration in Forensic Accounting, along with accountants, attorneys and law enforcement professionals seeking continuing professional education (CPE) credit. The seminar will allow professionals to register for two-hour blocks of CPE.
