Rice receives Trailblazer Award
Kris Rice, executive director of the Coastal Children’s Advocacy Center in Savannah, has received the 2015 Trailblazer Award from the Georgia state chapter of The Links, Inc. The presentation was made at the state capitol by the Savannah chapter’s past president, Dr. Connie Cooper.
South University faculty member honored
South University faculty member Patricia Emfinger has been recognized as a Distinguished Fellow by the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Emfinger is the director of clinical education for South University, Savannah’s master of science in physician assistant program.
UPS honors local drivers
UPS drivers Charles McCall and Danny Gene Roberts, both of Savannah, were recently inducted into the UPS Circle of Honor for achieving 25 years of accident-free driving. They, along with 69 elite drivers from Georgia, are among 1,445 newly inducted into the company’s honorary organization.
