Carolina Holdings announces opening in Pooler
Carolina Holdings Inc., based in Greenville, S.C., has announced the opening of Mill Creek Landing, its newest commercial center at 6 Mill Creek Circle in Pooler.
Tenants include Chipotle Mexican Grill and Five Guys Burgers and Fries, the first store in Pooler for each. The property is at the intersection of Pooler Parkway and I-95 in front of Sam’s Club and adjacent to the new Tanger Outlets Savannah that opened April 16.
This is Carolina Holding’s second commercial development in Pooler. In 2014, the company completed Landing 405, a three-tenant project including Starbucks, Tijuana Flats, and McAlister’s Deli.
Mill Creek Landing was sold in late April to Pooler Plaza LLC. Carolina Holdings Inc. was retained as asset manager for the new ownership.
Savannah Jaycees raise almost $2,000 for March of Dimes
The Savannah Jaycees have raised $1,702 for the March of Dimes to support the Coastal Empire March for Babies.
Eleven members of the Jaycees raised money through social media campaigns, community outreach and donations from family and friends.
Members who participated included Ken Adams, Will Gruver, Randi Hempel, Olivia King, Brandy Lee, Kenneth Lee, Marcie Moxley, Marianne Poppell, Amanda Quaranta, Patrick Spivey and Brittany Rowland.
“Supporting organizations such as the March of Dimes aligns with the Jaycees mission, and I’m thrilled that our chapter, families and friends could rally such support from our community,” said Jaycees president Randi Hempel.
Proceeds from the March of Babies help fund research, education, health care and newborn comfort gifts.
Construction finished on The Retreat
Konter Quality Homes has announced the completion of Phase 1 at The Retreat at Henderson Lakes, a 204-unit apartment complex in west Chatham County.
All units were designed as townhouses to allow tenants to have neighbors who are adjacent rather than above or below. Amenities include a pool, fitness center, pavilion, playground and three lakes. All phases are scheduled to be complete by Sept. 1, and Phase 1 is being leased.
“Our goal as the developer of The Retreat at Henderson Lakes was to create an atmosphere that would serve a variety of lifestyles for our tenants,” said Jerry Konter, founder/president of Konter Quality Homes.
Konter has developed more than 15 communities within the Savannah area, including more than 1,800 single-family homes and more than 500 multi-family homes.
