Gas prices up 3.8 cents in metro Savannah
Average retail gasoline prices in Savannah have risen 3.8 cents a gallon in the past week to $2.59 a gallon on Sunday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 262 gas outlets in Savannah.
The national average has increased 0.4 cents a gallon in the last week to $2.75, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
Prices Sunday in metro Savannah were $1.01.3 cents a gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 12.1 cents a gallon higher than a month ago. The national average has increased 14.8 cents a gallon during the last month and stands 92.8 cents lower than a year ago.
“Gasoline prices are poised to begin declining at a faster pace after staying relatively steady across much of the U.S. this past week,” said Patrick DeHaan, GasBuddy senior petroleum analyst. “While oil prices saw a major jump last Friday, I do not believe it will interrupt expected relief that will soon show up at many pumps across the country.”

CenterPoint Properties to build speculative facility
OAK BROOK, Ill. — CenterPoint Properties has announced it will build a 315,810-square-foot speculative building within the CenterPoint Intermodal Center — Savannah.
The facility will be located on 26 acres and will offer direct access to the Georgia Port Authority, the NS Dillard Yard and direct rail service from Norfolk Southern.
