On Thursday, March 28, 20 aspiring entrepreneurs had a chance to present their concepts and products to potential investors and advisors.
Among the presentations during the daylong event in the Savannah Morning News auditorium, 1375 Chatham Parkway, were a device that encourages children to wash their hands, an English language teaching tool, a board game, several mobile applications, a convertible backpack, an online platform for producing comic books and even a juiced up kilt design.
Each presenter had three minutes to pitch his or her concept, three minutes to answer questions posed by a panel about the idea and a separate opportunity to demonstrate the product or service.
The overall winner, according to the panel was Tarah Roe, who won $6,000 for her product called ScRIBBITT that encourages children to wash their hands.
